My name is Dan Mitchell and I’m addicted to decorating golf carts for parades. Golf Cart Parade Ideas was created after I had a difficult time finding resources to enter our annual golf cart parade at our campground. Here’s my story:
When we started RV camping in 2014, that first year a friend loaned us his golf cart to enter the parade. We decorated it with red white and blue for July 4th, and off we went. I had never really driven a golf cart before then, never mind entered one in a parade. I immediately fell in love and got us a golf cart that year.
Each year following, we entered the golf cart parade and won a trophy. I had a lot of experience building things from craft material, since I was a Cub Scout leader, and had made numerous Halloween costumes for my kids. As a family we have a strong competitive streak, and this annual golf cart competition is one we enter to win every year.
As I later learned, there are communities all over the US that have golf cart parades, not just campgrounds. On this website I will detail out how I’ve built my winning ideas, and provide tips and tricks on how to build willing entries. I’ll also break down how other people have built their entries and how they can be made better.
